BBI’s first contact with Norbar, the world-leading manufacturer of precision and torque control equipment, was in 2006. Norbar’s use of a third party agency to design their website had caused issues, particularly with the content management system (CMS) installed that was not sufficiently robust and failed to deliver the required functionality.

In mid-2007, BBI was commissioned by Norbar to redesign and rebuild their website and four child portal sites, covering the company’s operational areas of UK & Rest of the World, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

Launched in January 2008, the site integrates the Norbar product database together with a bespoke CMS module developed using DNN (DotNetNuke) open source framework that, unlike their previous system, provides the client with full administrative control. Other features include a bespoke product source module, distributor Flash module and distributor Extranet.
