CompAir, one of the world's leading manufacturers of compressed air and gas systems, asked BBI to create a new website that is certainly one of the most diverse and technically interesting that we have ever designed.
www.CompAir.com offers a range of innovative features, including:
- Worldwide project pool: a password protected project management solution designed for the CompAir Airworx division, enabling international guest users to download information and access documents. The content management system allows the project "owners" who originally posted information onto the site to amend details on their particular projects. However, overall content control is in the hands of a site administrator.
- Employee shopping area: BBI wrote a bespoke password protected shopping basket for CompAir personnel, which offers a wide range of promotional items at discounted prices. The programming allows for all the functions usually associated with sophisticated online shopping, including adding or removing items ordered and the payment by either credit card or invoice.
- Multi-lingual translation: Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish
The programme of this site brought a number of exciting technical challenges and the result has been a high quality source of information and online contact to an international audience.
